Principle

Once the pores of a sample and an appropriate membrane are filled with a test solution, the sample and the membrane are placed inside the measurement chamber. Pressurized gas is gradually supplied to eject the test solution from the pores on the primary side, and the ejected solution is precisely measured using a weight scale on the secondary side.

The pressure required for solution ejection has the below relationship with the pore size of the sample.
