Principle

When air-pressure is added to a liquid-soaked sample and the pressure of the liquid exceeds the liquid surface tension in a capillary tube, the liquid is ejected from the sample. After the minimum pressure required to eject the liquid is measured, the pore size is calculated using the below equation, which is derived from the capillary equation.

P: Pressure, γ: Surface tension of the test solution
