Enables solar installations previously considered too difficult due to load capacity.
Ultralight Solar Panels
At less than half the weight of glass solar panels with the same output, these panels feature a plastic surface layer instead of glass, making them ultralight. In contrast to the relatively weak weather resistance of conventional plastics, these panels are made with high-spec polyvinylidene fluoride, certified to meet the same standards as glass panels. The ultralight weight and high reliability significantly expands installation options for roofs or older buildings for which glass panels would pose problems. For walls, these advantages significantly reduce reinforcement work. A frame with optional metal fittings allows safe and secure mounting to meet Japanese installation standards. Durability is also enhanced by adding two reinforcing bars on the back, enabling the panels to withstand the same snow load as glass solar panels (5,400 Pa).
Highlights
- Less than half the weight of typical glass panels
- Metal fittings can be attached to the included frame
- Highly efficient despite ultralight weight
- Outstanding weather resistance, even with a plastic surface
- Load capacity equivalent to conventional glass panels
- Less glare compared to reflections from glass
- Long-term warranty for peace of mind
